Why is Lee’s chicken so good?

Lees Chicken is a small restaurant in Chicago that has been serving up fried chicken since 1990. It opened as a carry-out spot in the Lincoln Park area, and most people were not expecting much from it because it looked like it just had one room with a window and no tables.

But they were wrong! Lee’s has become famous for their delicious fried chicken and sides that cannot be beat by any other restaurant in town. So how did this small place become such an important part of Chicago? Let’s take a look at five reasons why Lee’s Chicken is so good:

The fried chicken is juicy and flavorful.

The fried chicken is juicy and flavorful. It’s crispy and crunchy on the outside, while still being tender and juicy on the inside. The chicken isn’t too greasy or dry—it’s perfect!

The secret to this deliciousness lies in three things:

  • The quality of their ingredients
  • Their unique cooking technique (which we’ll get into later)
  • Their love for what they do

The sides are excellent as well.

If you’re looking for sides to go with your chicken, Lee’s has got you covered. The fries are delicious and crispy, the mac and cheese is creamy without being too salty (a common pitfall), and the coleslaw is a nice balance between sweet and vinegar-y. In addition to all of this goodness, their food is cooked in the same oil as their fried chicken! This means that every bite of fried chicken has been marinating in delicious seasoning from start to finish…and it shows on every piece.

There are no gimmicks or tricks to the food.

Lee’s chicken is the real deal. There are no gimmicks or tricks to the food. The chicken is fried to perfection, with a golden-brown crust that tastes like it was dipped in honey. The sides are simple and delicious: cole slaw, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese. And if you want something more adventurous? They have those too–but don’t worry: everything is made from scratch by hand (no packaged mixes here).

The restaurant itself has an old-school vibe that brings back memories for many Nashvillians who grew up eating at Lee’s as kids; but don’t worry if you’re not from around here—the staff welcomes everyone with open arms!

The restaurant is clean, bright and friendly.

The staff are always smiling and greeting you when you walk in. They will chat with you about the food, answer any questions and make sure everything is to your liking. If they see that their customer is having a good time, they’ll even offer up some extra sauce or sides on the house!

Lee’s has a passion for their food and it shows in everything they do.

Lee’s has a passion for their food and it shows in everything they do. It’s this passion that makes Lee’s Chicken so special, not just to customers but also to their employees and community.

For example, Lee’s has been serving up delicious fried chicken since 1952 when James C. Lee Sr opened up his first location on East Main Street in Lexington, Kentucky. After years of success as an independent restauranteur in Lexington (and later Louisville), James decided to open another location close by where he could still manage things directly while also taking care of his family at home–this time at a location on Nicholasville Road just outside town limits (which was closer). He called this new place “Lee’s Chicken & Donuts.”

The name may seem strange now but back then everyone ordered donuts with their meals so it made sense! This second restaurant proved even more successful than its predecessor due out largely from word-of-mouth advertising from satisfied customers who wanted more than just one kind food option available nearby; thus began our journey towards becoming America’s first true fast casual chain specializing solely on deep fried poultry products

It also made Eater Chicago’s list of essential chicken spots across the city.

If you’re in Chicago, and you want to eat some chicken that is so good it will make your mouth water, Lee’s is the place to go. It’s been around since 1964 and still serves up some of the best fried chicken in all of Chicago.

The restaurant has been featured on several lists ranking restaurants across America and was even named one of Eater Chicago’s essential chicken spots across the city.

If you’re looking for something new and exciting to try out with your family or friends then this might be just what you need!
